CHRISTIANS, DO NOT TAKE GOD FOR GRANTED

Climbing the staircase, Daniel heard someone mention his name. When he turned back, it was his headmistress. The headmistress was a staunch Christian. She told Daniel about a revelation she had that his father was going to die the next day. Daniel laughed and asked, “Are you serious?” The woman replied, “We don’t joke when it comes to issues concerning death. I wouldn’t have told you if it was a joke.” The smile on Daniel’s face changed to a moody one. Daniel walked away quietly. He begun to reflect on all the things his dad had done for the family. Paying his fees, the support he gave in all aspects and everything a dad does and even more. Tears flowed down his cheeks. He knew he had to do something and fast. On the other hand, he thought to himself, “It is something that is bound to happen.” He knew he was powerless to change the situation. He then remembered a scripture in the bible. A prophet was sent to inform a king that he had a few days to live. The king felt sad but without wasting time, he prayed a short prayer asking God to remember what he had done for Him in times past.  God, who is capable of doing everything, in turn restored the king’s life to him. The word inspired Daniel and he was now totally convinced that all hope was not lost. Eventually the next day came and the father lived. His life had been restored to him through the prayer of his son. Daniel’s life had changed forever.
For most Christians of today, everything happens for a reason. This doesn’t mean we should take things for granted. Most of us have decided to belittle everything, even God. We tend to limit the power of God. We do not put him first. We act and talk like there is no God but that is not the case. There is God and this is the God who is capable of doing everything. God actually does not require a lot from us as we make it look like. He only needs us to trust Him and leave the rest to Him. He only wants us to live with the notion that He is capable of doing anything we can possibly ask for and of course He is. We should not live our lives as though we have no faith. What if Daniel’s father had died? His life would have been shattered and the truth is God had the right to take his dad’s life. For a moment, place yourself in the position of Daniel and ask yourself what you would have done, which can aactually happen in reality. Please don’t pretend you didn’t read the previous sentence. Please reflect on it and live a changed life. Be inspired, it’s never too late to be too late.

PERCEPTIONS OF THE RICH VERSUS THE POOR-PT 2

Making money work for you is an art. It has to be learnt or studied. One must learn to be patient since riches do not come overnight.  You should get the right state of mind and you can start by the practising the following.
  1. Change the wrong mentality. You should have a reason (a very strong reason) that can also motivate you. Some wrong words should change.  Instead of saying "I cant", say something like" I'll try" to get this. Always be optimistic when it comes to matters concerning money.
  2. Buy assets and not liabilities.  This is to say that in every business endeavor,  weigh your profit against your expenditure. Your profit should far outweigh your losses and I believe that move can be classified as an asset. Note that assets put money in your pocket but liabilities remove money.
  3. Move with the right people.  The people you associate yourself with influence your decisions in life. Therefore when you move with business minded people, you are able to get new ideas which helps you to grow your business.
I believe with these and many other rules with the help of God, you will achieve the desired success.

PERCEPTIONS OF THE RICH VERSUS THE POOR

One common question asked by everyone is how to get rich. People seek riches all their life and often achieve less.
From the author of Rich Dad Poor Dad, Robert Kiyosaki, the thoughts of the rich is so different from that of the poor and even that of the middle class. Here are some ideologies of the rich versus the poor.
1. The rich make assets whiles the poor create liabilities.
2. The rich man wants to be rich because he has the responsibility to provide certain things whiles the poor believes he is poor because he provides certain things.
3. The rich advices to manage taking risks concerning money whiles the poor wants to be extremely careful in monetary matters.
The rich therefore keep on making money but the poor on the other hand, keep on loosing money. Money works for the rich but sadly, the poor work for money. Investing money into assets means money works for you. On the other hand, having to wake up every morning to work in order to get money means working for money.

GREAT MEN WHO NEVER GAVE UP

Abraham Lincoln went to war as a captain and returned home as a private. He failed countless times as a businessman. When he became a lawyer, he also failed as a result of being too temperamental. When he became a politician , he was defeated in several attempts before he became the president of the USA.
Sigmund Freud was also booed from the podium the first time he presented his ideas but he kept on writing.
The light inventor, Thomas Edison, was no exception.  His teachers condemned him to be" too stupid to learn." He was fired from jobs and even as an inventor, he made 1,000 attempts before he succeeded. He never saw himself as a failure but instead,  he said "the light bulb was an invention with 1,000 steps."
Walt Disney, was fired by his boss because" he was unimaginative". He went bankrupt a lot of times before he built Disneyland.
Everyone fails before he attains a particular status. Failure is part of success. Learn to fail and you will learn to succeed.
"Only those who dare to fail greatly can achieve greatly" - Robert F. Kennedy

The Pencil Theory
  • Everything you touch will always leave a mark.
  •  The mistakes you make can always be corrected.
  •  Your most important asset is what is inside you.
  • In life, you will undergo some painful sharpening that will make you a better pencil.
  •  To be the best, you must allow yourself to be held and guided by the hand that holds you.
